Lt. Stehle flew this aircraft before on 06.04.43 it was destroyed by own troops.
Fritz Stehle was one of the best Me210/410 pilots during WW II.
He served with III./ZG 1 from September 1942 to october 1943, when Gruppe was renamed II./ZG 26 and fully equipped with Me410A-1/U2, and became StaKa 5./ZG 26.
In june 1944 gruppe was redesignated II./JG6 and equipped with Fw190A.
In November 1944 he was credited with 15 victoryes, 4 of the flying Fw190A and 11 with Me210 and Me410. He was transferred to Me262 training duty, and in autumn 1944 he became StaKA 2./JG 7.
With this unit, he shot down 11 aircrafts, making him one of the best Jet Aces of WW II.
He shot down a P-39 of 129 giap in the late afternoon on 8 May 1945 over northwestern Bohemia while retreating with his Me 262 from Žatec to Fassberg. It was the last victory of Luftwaffe during WW II.
His final score : 26 victories, including 9 B-17, 4 Lancasters, 3 B-24, 1 P-38, 3 P-51, 2 P-47 and P-39.
